Does anyone know if the 2002 model year of the 396 is equipped with an inverter?? Some spec sheets I have found seem to indicate that there are "120v batteries". I know that the boat doesn't have 120VOLT BATTERIES, but does it have batteries that are dedicated to an inverter? And if so, what "appliances" can I expect will have access to the 120 volt inverter output?

Now I don't have this boat and perhaps someone that does will chime in.......my guess here would be if you have any of that equipment there would be wiring and all the breakers and switches that go along with that type of install.....

In my time owning my carver there are many options that were available and may or may not have been installed. I have breakers for seversl things that mine never had. Such as an inverter, fuel transfer and macerator to name a few. You'll find breakers in the panel that may indicate equipment that was never installed. You may find the same model will have one and maybe not. It will probably come down to individual boats. You'll probably need to take some time and look through your boat docs if you were lucky to get them or crawl around and actually find these things in question.

Thanks guys. I guess I'll just have to wait until I take delivery. I don't want to bother the broker. I'll probably find out during sea trial later this month.

The broker gets paid to know the boat, so it's worth a question to him/her next time you talk to them.
