Wet Carpet

On a Carver 466, I recently found damp / wet carpet at the bottom of the steps leading to the aft master stateroom. We did find a plugged condensate drain on an AC unit but that has been fixed and the AC cabinet appears dry at this time. We checked the AC unit under the master stateroom bed but found nothing wet there. We removed the master bath shower seat for access but can't find any moisture in that area either. Anyone have any thoughts?

Just a thought, i had the same issue on my 405 when we bought her. If the carpet is wet outside of a wall by the shower make sure all the caulking on the surround is good. We chased our problem for a bit. The caulking looked good from afar but close up showed some issues once recaulked no more problems.
Or any windows nearby the wet carpet?. Maybe a waterline leaking nearby? Let us know when you do find it. Best wishes

I've chased wet carpet problem in the master in front of the starboard side closet. Porthole was leaking water in heavy rains and was letting water run down the chest of drawers. The main culprit was the caulking on the seams in the swim platform starboard side.

Possibly related to the clothes washer, if you have one in the cabinet there by the stairs?...
