Anyone with this model have a dinghy on the swim platform? Looking for suggestions mostly in regards to max length, weight, etc. and your experiences. We do not have a dinghy yet but the boat currently has Weaver davits designed to flip the dinghy up on its side. Would prefer to get a dinghy and davits where you do not have to remove everything from the dinghy....motor, fuel tank, etc. Mounting the outboard and storing everything somewhere doesn't sound appealing. I understand weight is a major factor and not sure where to start. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Have you considered " Dinghy Caddy".....good stuff, works and gets the dink and all well out of the water, IMO avoids following sea issues.....good luck with your search.

Thank you. I did see the Dinghy Caddy previously and really like how it works. Do you have one or have first hand knowledge?

We put Dinghy Caddy on our 2003, 360 SS last spring. We are carrying an Achilles 315 with a 20 hp Tohatsu electric start and tilt.
It works very well, keeps the boat out of the water and I no longer have to wrestle with removing the motor.
We are very pleased with it!

Yes we did and worked great.....10 ft highfield. The best are proper davits of some kind because they get the dink well out of the water safely with less fuss ,level, motor attached , gas tank and gear also. With your aft cabin you will have a great winch angle and would be easy to install electric winch if desired.
I have tried three ways..... towed for years, did not like the weaver davit thing ( a pain), then the caddy. IMO all those cobbled up systems that mount dinks flat on the platform are a recipe for disaster, perhaps ok on calm flat water lakes but not where you may get caught in any sort heavy weather. IMO... The proper place if the boat is big enough is on the bow or the hardtop upper deck area depending on boat design.....good luck with your search...
