Condensation around window hatch

We own a 1990 Carver Santego. There is a large window hatch directly above the berth which I love because it brings in great light and fresh air. The drawback is when it's cold outside (cold like in So. California cold) the window sweats from condensation. I have to cram a cushion up into it to collect the drops of water to keep it from dripping onto the bed/pillows. We do keep an air drier going while we're away during the week but when I show up on weekends, the cushion is usually still wet and goes outside to dry out.

Any suggestions on how to circumvent this issue???

Try a small fan continuously circulating air across the window. Condensation only occurs on the colder surface. Blowing air on it tends to keep it at a noncendensing temperature.

Oh good idea, I'll definitely try that. (Fingers crossed)

Another thought would be to fabricate a snap down insulating cover for the outside.

Our 36 Mariner has its sunpad covering the hatch and we have not had any condensation on the hatch.
