reprop on a 2357 with a 5.7 L motor

Postby senjen » September 26th, 2018, 10:21 am

I got this boat with a 14 x 16 pitch 4 blade s/s prop. didn't get proper wot rpm. only could get 3800. boat hauled and serviced and marina installed 3 blade 14 x 21 pitch. boat will only get to 2900 and then seems to lose power. if anyone out there has a opinion on if this boat is now over propped or something else going on I would love to hear it. thanks for any help

Looks like they went a bit too far.......you seem to be overpropped now for sure, judging by the engine reaction......maybe only to 18....any good prop shop should be able to pin that down for you.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.
