Corrosion Bonding Wires

Postby SeattleMatt » September 21st, 2021, 6:09 pm

I have a bit more corrosion on my starboard side than my port side, inspection I found a few bonding wires that didn't seem to have homes. does anyone have any suggestions on where this wire may have gone.? I don't believe that it's been modified much from the factory so it must have connected to something nearby. I'm referring to the loose wire down by the packing tube.

can't really tell ...is it broken or cut short. I don't believe that copper strapping is factory, someone has been in there. Go thru the system with your multimeter checking for continuity from all the blocks to another and from your metal to all the central mounting points then back to the engine blocks.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

The wire that's attached to the bolt is for the stern tube. Is these an attachment point on the forward part of the log that inserts into the hose?
