Icer-ette

Postby 650Guy » May 18th, 2022, 9:08 am

Ok, so I'm sure everyone has had their fun with Icerett machines... well My Ice maker (Part # I34W) has quit.

Doesn't take a long search to find them online, but the Icer-Ette units are $300, and right next to it in your web browser search is a "whirlpool" or something else for like $55! They LOOK identical. Has anyone played with this and did they fit? connect? Work?

Just can't figure out why the big price spread...

Yes I have worked on my icerrette and replaced my icemold with a whirlpool generic. What's quit? I copied this from a post i made a while back . But still releative today. You may only need the module and not the whole assy. Here's a troubleshooting guide depends on the style of what you have. This is fir the one with the large white gear, don't turn it by hand. So take a look. generic ice maker assemblies are easily replaced or it could be no water flowing through the water valve the tests here will help figure out the issue....http://www.the-appliance-clinic.com/modcres.html
