Renewing old cabin lights
I bought a couple sections of white plastic tubing and made new shades for all the lights on my boat. I sold that boat, but still have some pieces of that plastic tubing. It's thicker than the original, but like-new white color and the old shades can be changed out to these pieces, although you do have to cut and re-splice the wiring to the light to do so.
So, my question is to any of you folks that might have the same type lights and want to keep them.... are you interested in some replacement shades?? I could cut and drill the pieces so all you'd have to do is take the old fixture down, disco the wires, swap the shade then resplice and remount the fixture. Let me know if there's any interest.

Re: Renewing old cabin lights
Strangely, I like the patina of the original yellowed shades. It matches the vintage of the boat, a 1988 Mariner 3697. I wonder if it would be possible to recreate that patina on your replacements.
Anyway, I would like to find out more about your replacement shades. Thanks!
