Cable length

Anything related to the operation of your boat. Steering, Bilge Pumps, thru-hulls, bottom paint, etc.

Cable length

Hello all,I have a 1987 Carver 28 Voyager and am trying to find control cable length for starboard transmission shifter.These are from fly bridge to transmission.The cable that is there has no markings.

Cables are usually stamped at one of the ends with a number that includes the length. If you can't find that, my recommendation is to remove the cable and measure it. Before you do that though, ensure first that it is routed properly in case you have to adjust the length. You don't want it to be too short or too long, and you don't want any tight turns.

Does your boat have the lower helm station ?

Well,here's what length the shifter cables are;36 feet on starboard side 34 feet,port side.Smooth as silk again.
