Bilge Wont Shut Off- under galley floor

Hi

I have what I believe to be a bilge pump that wont quit running. I am not sure what fluid it is suppose to move, but I think it is related to the forward head. It is under the galley floor board and here is what is really weird. I can shut down all the power (AC and DC), and it still runs.

Anyone know what that bilge goes to and why it would run continuously.

Thanks
Rich

If you kill the battery switch and it still runs it must be a bilge pump. There should be some Fuses by the switch. Those are for the pumps. Take them out one at a time until the pump stops. Now you know which one. It's probably a bad float stitch by the pump.
Make sure you put the other Fuses back in!

I was going to add the forward shower sump but it would shut off with the main battery switch set to off. Opening the galley floor hatch will give you direct access to the forward bilge pump.

A bad float switch will cause a pump to run continuously. Water has made its way into the switch and it is time to toss the float. Some have a separate float, and if this is you, just identify the float and replace it.

If the float is internal to the pump, then toss the whole thing.

Had this issue on previous boat.
