2003 360SS - Head fan won't stop running

I know that most of the posts here are about things that won't work, my problem is my head exhaust fan won't STOP - I thought that maybe the wall switch was fried and was stuck in an ON position, so I took that apart and disconnected the wires, but it is still running - the only way to turn it off is to go to the breaker panel - any suggestions?

sounds like the switch controlled a relay and the relay contacts are closed.
I have no idea if the relay is in the electrical panel or near the fan. Do you happen to have a wiring diagram for the boat?

Hi Tom -
Yes - I have all the original paperwork for the boat, so I think I could try to track it down - I will do some digging for it this weekend and repost - thanks!

Thanks for the insight - I will check that switch out - maybe that is the culprit - never knew there was a second switch!

Yup, our 360SS has another fan switch behind the sink, both galley and head switch run the same fan.

OK, when I was a young boater, I would be embarrassed that a solution was so simple - but now, I am thankful it was as simple as that!!! I have had the boat for 2.5 years and never knew there was a galley fan! Thanks for the easy fix guys! If every fix could be that simple!!

Much better than my current problem where my hold-n-treat purasan decided to go on full reversal and empty my fresh water tank through the purasan tablet dispenser and fill my holding tank with nicely chlorinated water. Could have been really really worse!
