I was winterizing my Carver 46MY, ran antifreeze through the gen and noticed the muffler has a water pickup but no strainer or anyway to get antifreeze in. Do I have to remove the water intake hose from the pickup and drain it out? Help please
thanks
Dave

Are you sure it's a water pick up or is it underwater exhaust? Some installs incorporate gas/water separation mufflers. These discharge the gases above the water line and the cooling water below the water line so you don't get a constant splashing at anchor when the generator is running. Does your set up look something like this?

Are you still in the water or out for the winter?

Thanks Viper, you could be correct, the boat is still in the water, I will take a pic and post it on the weekend
