Hail damage to Bimini

In a bit of a strong squall last summer, Bimini on our Voyager 320 sustained probably 50-75 spots on the top where a large hail impacted the top. The large hail spread out the fine threads so you can see faint light in those spots. Its not leaking yet but drops of moisture are starting to accumulate on the larger of the spots. Any thoughts outside of replacing the top?

I wonder if heating it gently with a hair dryer, then passing over it with something like a plastic spreader with rounded edges will stretch it enough to eliminate or reduce the dimples and line up the weave a bit in hopes that when it cools off and contracts, that it will revert close to what it was before. Just a thought. Don't use a heat gun. Short of that, I can't think of anything else other than using a waterproofing product.
