'06 Carver 41 CMY Throttle Position

Purchased a 2006 41 CMY back in September. One of the survey issues was the throttles would not sync (not the gauge that is another issue). That has been corrected.
My current issue is that the throttles seem to be positioned incorrectly. See picture. When at idle the throttles are all the way down. In other boats I have owned and other Carver dock mates, the throttle idle position is center.
Has anyone else seen this situation?
Is it normal for this boat?
If not normal, does anyone know how to correct?
Thank you,

That's normal. Shifters are on the right and throttles are on the left. Your other boats must of had all in one shifters/throttle's.

No... the throttles are in the right. See how they are all the way down.
The shifters are on the left and are centered.
My other boats have always had separate shifters/throttles. My last boat (which we still have) is a SR390 Express... throttles on the right... shifters on the left. The throttles are centered on idle on the SR390.
My dock mate has an Carver 356 Aft and his throttles are on the right and shifters on the left. His throttles are at center position when at idle.

Assuming she is in neutral, I think Mike meant it the other way around; the left looks like it's the shifter in neutral detent and the right remote looks like throttle at idle position. That's normal for that type of remote.

Engines off in pic....all looks normal, just how you would expect with those types of controls.....same as all the inboard boats I have ever had........

Yes this is correct. Left control are forward, neutral, reverse. Port is port engine and starboard is starboard engine. Right Control is throttle, fast and slow. Same for port and starboard. You can steer the boat using these controls and nudge the throttle for each engine when needed.

I think I see what you were getting at....there are some control set ups that have both port controls on the port side of the boat and both starboard controls on the right side of the boat/ dash, shifter on the left side and throttle on the right for each set........maybe like your Sea Ray is.....I think the confusion has stemmed from the right and left thing....nevertheless yours is fine......

Thanks everyone. Considering your comments and images I have looked at it looks like all is good. On my SR390 Express it is different positioning.
Thanks again!

Was the Sea Ray a sterndrive application?
I don't think I've ever seen that type of setup before! If they are single function controls, the throttle control always sweeps all the way back for idle and all the way forward for wide open throttle, and the shift control always has a reverse (back), neutral (middle), and forward position with detents that don't affect speed. You can have both of these set up in one control assembly but their positioning remains the same as mentioned above. In other words, you could have the shift lever and throttle lever for one engine in the same assembly but the shift lever will use the same positioning as mentioned above for shifting and the throttle lever will move all the way back for idle and all the way forward for wide open throttle. In this case, if the throttle is in the middle as you mentioned above, your engine would be at half throttle, not idle.
Dual function controls are different. They control both shift and throttle in one lever. These would have the lever in the middle for both neutral AND idle. When moved in either direction past the neutral detent, throttle is engaged either forward or reverse. Unlike the single function remotes above, you'd have to disengage the shift mechanism to rev the engine in neutral. Depending on the brand, this is done in various ways; pushing a button, pulling the lever out at the pivot point, etc. These are the most common on sterndrive vessels. But I have never seen a single function remote for throttle that rests in the middle position unless that is its idle position and there is no further travel backward of the middle position.
