Blower system

I am going through this boat system by system and concerning the engine compartment blowers I am a little confused.
When I turn the blower switch on I can hear a blower come on but it seems to be located behind the gas tank. How would I access this blower. And also there are two hoses hanging down from the back scuppers. However, they are not connected to the blower. Is this the correct setup for my boat. Thanks in advance for all the help.
This is a 1977 or 1978 Carver Santa Cruz 2566.

I don't know that specific boat, but normally you would have hoses coming from the scuppers, so when the boat is in motion air is circulated down to the bilge and back out the other side. This is essentially in parallel with the bilge blower system on the 'exit' side, so that the air forced out of the bilge comes from a low point.

I'd find it hard to believe that your bilge blowers are behind the tank, unless there is an access hatch to get to it. It may be a flange mounted blower, which is mounted on the backside of the "exit" grill.

Have never seen a blower mounted behind tanks that are outboard/next to the hull sides. Sound can play some tricks on yo in an enclosed space. If they're flange mounted units, look behind a wall panel topsides either in the cabin or cockpit.
