Raw water intake clamshell

I have a 2000 396 Aft Cabin with the clam shells on the bottom which are bent inward. We believe this occurred during a prior owner. We had no problem last year with the engine temps.
1. Do we have to replace the clam shell which is bent inward?
2. If we replace them, does anyone have a part number and/or a location where they can be purchased?

T - clarification on part description. Is it a clam shell, or a strainer scoop? A clam shell would be completely open at one end. If you did not have any temp issues last season, there is obviously no water restriction. If it is bent in far enough, you could experience a collection dimple for seaweed, etc., or produce a cavitation effect, but I doubt that would happen easily. There will always be a rinsing flow to wash away that collected material. I would just watch my temps on that engine and take the approach if it ain't really broke, don't fix it. If it is not presenting a problem,I would be tempted to leave it alone.....but do check that all the sealant is in place, if there was apparent impact damage.

Can you get the dent out without breaking the seal at the haul? Dent puller or pry bar? Just a thought! I do not think it's a clam shell rather an inlet strainer and if the inlet slots are all open and clear your intake flow should be fine, thus I'd run with it unless an issue arises!
