Salon Cabinet

All, I'm preparing to replace my salon AC unit, original 1984 Cruisair 16k unit, that's installed inside the wet bar cabinet in my 3697.

Does anyone have experience with taking this cabinet apart to remove the AC unit? I can see screws and angle brackets inside but not enough that it makes sense how the unit could come out....

Any help appreciated.

will it not fit through one of the cabinet doors?

The cabinet on the right is separate from the area on the left (where the AC is) and the door on the left is too small for the unit to come out.

empty the cabinets, have a drink, get a flashlight, have a drink, lay on your back and look at the cabinet from the inside. I have yet to find something on a carver that wasn't "doable". They are sometimes very clever at hiding fasteners etc.
Take a bunch of pictures in there, and review them while having another drink. The solution may very well appear!

Look inside. On mine, there's an ice maker where that door is. Remove the door, pull the drawer, you'll see a bunch of screws holding the cabinet together. Loosen the counter top, discontent the sink, remove the vent on the counter top. Take the cabinet completely apart.
Remove ac.
While in there, replace the through hulls with stainless,
That's how we did it on our 3697.
We used a webasto unit, but anything with a scroll compressor will be way more quiet than the old one.
You only want to do this one! Change everything in there with new. Sink hoses, drain hoses, everything.

Do you have to take the whole cabinet apart, or can you just take the countertop off? In my aft cabin, the unit fits under the cabinet. You can get to all the screws that hold on the countertop by going in or under the cabinets and once the top is off you had access to the whole unit.

You can probably pull it out the top. I took the cabinet apart. Screws holding it down in back were tough to get to.
We also removed the wall hung cabinet, got rid of the plastic mirror, and had a piece of stainless jetted out, and hand that.
