Fiamm Air Horns

Who knows about these things? I have a 2000 series compressor and a TA/NS type horn ( X 2). Nothing looks wrong but they don't make a horny sound  in fact they don't blow at all :-P

Compressor seems to pump. But it might not be building pressure - there is a red cap on the top that says "oil" . What kind of oil? How much?

Use compressor oil or a light machine oil. Just a few drops is all you need. Don't over oil it.

Those pumps come apart and I believe they use vanes to as part of the pump mechanism. You may still be able to get parts but it's probably easier to just buy a new one as there's no telling how much life the old unit has left.

The pump may not be building enough pressure, or there may be debris in the throat of the horn, or a dirty or torn diaphragm. The diaphragm is inside the back of the horn.

Thanks, Viper.

I got impatient and disassembled the horns and found a $hitload of spider nests in both of the horn throats. Once those were cleaned out, I'm back in business. :beergood:
