On the outside of the rear sliding door on the 444, there is a rubberized "white filler molding" around the frame of the door on the aft cockpit. It has gotten sticky & has discolored. Does anyone know where to get this?

I called Carver looking for the black windshield trim on my 44 and they turned me onto the company that manufactured the windshield. The still have the rubber trim and I will order it. Maybe they made the sliders as well. The company was called Aluminum 2000. I sent an email and received an email back from their service department.

She sent me a sheet back with all the rubber trim pieces that they have.

While you're looking for a replacement, try wiping the old one with a white rag soaked in acetone. It's probably PVC and the acetone could make it look like new and would take the 'sticky' off of it (once the acetone evaporates). Just takes one good wet rag and one good swipe.

Collinite fiberglass cleaner works for me on the that gasket.
Trend marine makes the rear door. I have purchased them in the past from
lizzie@trendmarine.com, part number RP094B "White Flexible Clip In". If this contact doesn't work contact trend marine directly. This is not aluminum 2000, that was the windshield and they are no longer made.
