Hi! I'm a brand new owner and I mean brand new, we don't have possession yet and its our first boat! We plan to live aboard during the summer months on Lake Michigan. What I need to know are the dimensions of the forward cabin mattress. I am wondering if I can just replace it with a standard queen or if I will need to special make something. The boat is a 2018 C37 Coupe. Thanks for any help!

Not sure about your model, but there are very few boats that use standard mattresses. Maybe look up the specs on the Carver website.
BTW, that's a pretty nice first boat!
My first powered boat was a 1969 searay srv190, many years ago.

Pretty sure you will have to have a custom mattress made or do what a lot of people do, get a 2-3" pad and cut it to size yourself. That's what I did on my boat and made a big difference in the comfort of the mattress.

If you have a place called “the original mattress factory” they will make you a new mattress for about $700. It will be just like your home mattress.
Other mattress places may do the same, around here that is the company that will make a mattress from scratch. I was surprised it was so cheap.
