Hi,
I have a 1989 38 aft boat. I have 3 shore connections on the aft of my boat. Two are labeled - the third one is not.
Can someone please tell me what the third connection is for? Also where to buy a replacement cover only.

Well, someone switched the cover from the right connection to the left as it is marked TV and phone. You can buy the cover from just about any marine retailer as almost everyone carries Marinco products.

You may have to buy the entire cover housing.

A previous owner probably made the switch because something happened to loose the left cover. He didn’t care about the right side connection being open to the elements, but didn’t want his 120 volt connection exposed.

The missing cover is TV and Phone however I do not believe one ever uses those nowadays. Save it for some future input you may like. this one is pretty cheap, in fact if you want one I would jump on this. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Marinco-AFI-30 ... SwrhFgB2fc

I made some internal wiring changes and i use satellite TV at my dock so I use the cable tv f fitting to connect to the dish when tied up. So that's still a useable port

We used that connection on our boat because our marina did have cable. It was just SD analog but still provided about 40 channels. The connection on my boat was just for phone, and we never did hook up phone service so I drilled for a fitting right next to it inside the cover and added an F-81 for cable and wired the boats tv sets. When not using cable, I could also plug in an antenna connected to the dock pilings and pick up all the local stations in HD.

If you have no need for the cable connection then I would not worry about getting a cover. I would design a block-off plate and just remove the whole thing, and start thinking of something different to put there that would be useful.
