Hydraulic dinghy lift

Hydraulic lift question. Hoping someone knows some basics on hydraulic lift activation. My dinghy lift is 1992 vintage.
The remote control no longer functions and the control panel is old relay technology. Lift is hydraulic, simple function in/out & up/down. The cylinder travel is approximately 40 inches in/out and 30 inches up/down. The travel both ways are tied into proximity probes that must be met in order to allow the activation of up / down or in / out. IE Lift must be all the way out and prox probe met before up or down can be activated. My question is on retrofitting the current controller (12 V) with something more up to date. Do I simply require a new 4 way activator control mechanism to replace the current relay system or is it more complicated due to the prox probe configuration? If nobody has knowledge perhaps you can steer me in the right direction.

I can't answer the hydraulic control question but, have you spoken to hydraulic places that service tow motors/lift trucks etc...just an idea....that lift cant be much more than that. Where would you buy the new controls from ?

The lift looks familiar but I can't quite place the OEM. It'd be worth finding out the make and giving them a call if they still exist and ask if there is a retrofit available for the older control system. I'm sure there is a way to upgrade/modify but It'd be something one would have to assess hands on to see how it could be accomplished. Isn't it a place in Georgian Bay that makes those? Try a Google search for hydraulic davits Georgian Bay or Ontario
