Can anyone tell me how to remove this panel on the port side? it's damaged pretty well and I would like to replace it with a nice sheet of teak.

A little hard to tell from the picture, but I believe that trim all comes off. If it's like mine, it was "glued" in place with silicone caulk and there were very small brads or staples every few inches. Then you'd probably have to peel back some of the vinyl covering to get at the screws that hold the panel.
EDIT- OOPS... scratch that. I thought it was an interior panel and was wondering why you had the other pic in there. Now I see it's the panel below the window. If that's an aluminum frame around the edge then I'd think you'd have to approach the repair/replacement from the other side. What's there?

I believe the black trim piece all the way around to be metal like the door frame there. I had only three external screws for the trim part that were located vertically on the port side. after removing them I tried a little prying but did not force it as I didn't want to break anything...
it sounds like I may need to force it after all? the rest of your description sounds pretty similar.

Take some closer pictures, but I'm still wondering if you need to approach it from the other side.

Sounds good I'll get a few more shots tonight.
If I have to do it from the other side it's going to be one heck of a project because the head is full walled in with a secondary wall that i'd have to take down to get to it.
Unrelated/related I'm running into the same issue with the waste cap. If I want to replace the thru hull I have to rip my entire galley out to get to it lol.
I'll maybe save that for fall when I can lock myself in the boat with a beer and pizza for a cold weekend.
