All:

I thought I would share this in case it can help someone else out in the future.

I recently purchased a 530 Voyager Pilothouse. About a month ago the Malber washing machine died. After failed attempt to find replacement parts for the washer, I decided to replace it.

The problem is that the door to the master stateroom is 20" wide. I could find no front loading washing machines that could fit through the door.

I'll spare all the attempted solutions that failed and cut to the finale: If you are in the same situation, purchase an "Equator" washer (I got mine off amazon for $1,100. I'll post the link to the amazon page here, but it will almost certainly stop working in a month or two. Equator 1.6 Cubic Foot Compact Washer. Part number ‎EW 824 N

If you remove the top panel, the back casing, the power cord, and push the drain hose into the casing, it fits through the stateroom door (barely).

We also removed the concrete counter weight on top of the drum. It makes it much easier to lift over the various "pinch points" from the aft deck, down the stairs, into the stateroom.

Attached is a picture of the new washer sitting next to the old Malber dryer.

Hope this helps someone out. Merry Christmas!

Dave

Thanks for sharing. I have the same boat and our washer just died- wont drain the water. Does the equator replacement need different fittings to replace? is the drain line easy to connect?
appreciate any pointers here
thanks
Glynn
