Hello,
After watching a few youtube videos I think I can do this!
My windows have been torn and trashed (Hurricane Dorian) the fabric potion looks like it can be saved.
My question is what is the best replacement (thickest roll up for the front and thickest/best for the sides?
I'm thinking the thicker the product the less it will show wrinkles.
I have searched this website and have yet to find these answers.
Thanks in advance

Try it,but if you don't have a heavy duty walking foot sewing machine it's probably not going to be so good. I did all the eisenglas on my boat with 30 mil. I bought a Sailrite LS1 machine and it took a while to get it set up.Practice with some materials and see what happens.

I also have a sailrite walking foot machine and have used it for several projects on my boats and around the house. . Replacing the eisenglass on my enclosures is coming up on my list of things I will be doing too.. I can recommend getting on sailrite.com s website and looking around and checking out their diy videos. . Also give them a call they are great in customer service and can give you much help and suggestions for material and supplies for any projects.

I have taken up doing custom canvas work and I only use 40 Ga O'sea. I have a brother walking foot machine. Have fun! I second the watching Sail Rite DIY videos.

Wife did a couple of our previous boats, and the first time on current boat using an old portable Husqvarna walking foot machine. They are pretty cheap.
But it was getting tired, so now she has a Juki 1541s. More than twice as fast, accurate, quiet, very even stitching. But if you plan on doing it once, a used Husqvarna will work fine.
