Has anyone used a Jabsco brand? I thought I was ordering a Sherwood, but I got a Jabsco. Any thoughts?

Common brand in Europe, wouldn't hesitate to use them for a season.
I also use Recmar but with the same caution as with aftermarket car parts: try and be prepared to discard and try another brand for some parts.

Nothing wrong with Jabsco, they're also a pump manufacturer like Sherwood.

What engine/s do you have, do you know the brand of the pump? Both Sherwood and Jabsco will have impellers that fit most of the other brand's pumps. There are cross references used to determine this.

Speaking of impellers... does anybody use ones that are date stamped?? I've heard that some manufacturers do this, but don't recall ever seeing such numbers on any I've had.
If you do have one that's date stamped, can you post a pic of what that looks like?

I write the date of changing filters/impellers on the item with a permanent marker (and in the log book) In view of course.

Yes, they are the right ones that interchange with Sherwood. I just didn’t know about the quality of Jabsco. Sounds like they are about the same. I have 454 Crusaders.

For your vintage, they were usually Sherwood pumps with impeller 10615K. Sierra also has an equivalent impeller.
