It would sound so simple, but running out of luck. I am in need to preface the masthead light on my newly acquired 355 Aft Cabin. The previous owner installed a 48" pole with a 360 light that makes zero sense as its not the highest point on the vessel and now just in my face. Also bent and loose. I want to replace it with something low profile and 225 degrees viewing. I can find lights like the AquaSignal series 25 replacement light, but not the bracket to place it in the desired location (or at all for that matter) . Does anyone here know where I can source something like what should have been equipped originally?

I have a 405 aft cabin the next size up from yours. I have friends that have 355,/356 I have my light is mounted on the arch and I always was curious why the 355/356 didn't do the same being the boats are so similar in design. I had a trojan f32 and it had the light mounted like yours in the line of site and always created too much light when navigating at night in my opinion. You could relocate yours up top if you don't have any luck on sourcing your desired light.

Yes, that is the contingency plan. The stern light becomes redundant at that point and that’s ok. I could get rid of it or swap it to a down light to serve the platform tastefully without being it your face at night.

Just wondering... is there also a stern light? Not sure of the OEM config on this model... did they have a 225 light forward of the bridge, a stern light and then a separate all-around anchor light? (that was the config on my older bridge boat).

The 355 should have a stern light mounted to the aft deck acrylic panel, a forward 180-degree light mounted on the front of the bridge "brow" above the windshield as shown in the pic above, and a 180 / 360 light on the radar arch.
The pic from GBB looks like there is no arch on that boat, so maybe, without the canvas, that is the highest point?

Might be being a bit pedantic, but there aren't any 180 degree nav lights on these boats. The forward-facing white light should be 225 degrees and an aft-facing one would be 135 degrees.

You can have/use a two-bulb combo light for an anchor light, with the forward bulb showing 225 degrees as your 'steaming' light and where when both are on it would show 360 degrees, but then your single stern/aft 135 light should turn off
