Don’t know the boat, but, FWIW, usually shower sumps can be found within a few feet of the shower drain. Look at any bilge hatches in the vicinity of the shower. On my boat, I have to lift up a carpet to access the bilge hatch where my sump is located.

Thank you. I appreciate it. I lifted all the hatches in the area in the two stage rooms and have not been able to find it. I found other bilge pumps for the vessel but not the sump pump for the showers and sinks. Is there anyway to pour something in the shower drain so it would clean it and eliminate the odor?

Not all, but most boat sinks drain out the side of the boat, not into a sump. Just keep looking and you will find it somewhere in the bilge and as mentioned, most likely will be fairly close to the shower drain and you need to find both of them as each shower will have its own. FYI, most likely, your AC condensation will also drain into the sump.
Yes, you can pour general household cleaners down the drain, but a good cleaning is needed.

tip: use a (old) mobile phone with a camera to look further into the dark abyss of the bilges
(shower) drains get dirty from what is put in that is not flushed out, dries partly and then more is added over time that has a nice primer to cling to. It's mostly grease based so dissolve the grease and flush it out plus whatever got stuck in that grease layer.
No need to use aggressive chemicals, if you fill and flush with vinegar you can get a lot out. Best used if you're not too late, more like a regular maintenance flush after a trip's use.
Nevertheless, you'll need to find that sump now because it will have collected dirt plus you want to know your boat anyway. Do you have the manual/schematics? a 56 is a lot of boat to search through! Did you check the manuals thread on this forum? there's a list of all the documents pulled from the Carver site, if yours is listed then let me know and I'll send it to you.

Thank you. I have the manual for the boat however I could not locate the sump pump. It is the 56 Voyager 2006 so if you have the schematics and possible locations it would be appreciated. Your suggestions are most valuable. I know I need to find it asap. Thank you again

Just pouring chemicals or vinegar down the drain will not do much IMHO. Shower sump is a regular annual maintenance item, hopefully you will find it and give it a good cleaning. I use a hose and spray water into it, squirt some degreaser into it and then go at it with an old tooth brush, rinse and repeat until relatively clean. Never an issue and it never smells. Just did mine last weekend as I did not have time last fall before haul out when I normally tackle this.
As mentioned, it should be a few feet away from the shower drain under the floor. I also need to lift the carpet in the master stateroom to access the hatch to get to it. A bunch of hoses run into mine, the head sink drain, the shower drain, the aft stateroom AC condensate and a couple of others I have not figured out yet.

Yup, That is a once a year item that needs a cleaning. Scum and such builds up in there. Like Hans mentioned, a good cleaner and brush for the walls and motor. And, if you want to go the extra mile, I used a wet and dry shop vac and I vacuumed out the lines running to the sump. Now my state room ac drains perfectly. The previous owners had a dog and were not the cleanest people. Just got to keep on top of it all.
