Dual voltage fridge

A boating friend has an issue with his fridge working only on 110. The 12 volt side is not working. Any ideas where to start checking and chance of finding parts?

Use a meter to see if you have 12 volts supplied at the fridge through the 12 volt wiring where it hooks up to the fridge. If there is 12 volts there, the issue is in the appliance side. If there is no 12 volt supply there, the problem lies before the fridge. Check to ensure your 12 volt breaker to that circuit is turned on. There's usually (but not always) dedicated 12 volt and 120V breakers for the fridge though some builds wire the fridge 120V circuit into one of the "outlet" breakers. This will give you an idea in which direction to continue your diagnosis.Agriman wrote:Source of the post....Any ideas where to start checking.....?
