Well, Let me tell you. We bought our Carver and the previous owner had Sea Deck installed. Looked really good till now. The swim platform is all bubbles and coming off with no effort at all. It wraps around to the front of the boat and the same thing is happening there also. So, We removed about 60% of it with ease. I had the rep from Kingston come and take a look and he confirmed it is SeaDeck. His only reasoning was that the installer did a bad job. He tried to get the head office to see what they could do and they won't. I purchased glue from another Quebec installer but I'm weary about re-gluing. Has anyone here get this done to their boat and how long should it last?

I tried glueing my swim platform sections back on however fail is the best word I could come up with. I was told to use spray adhesive but that does not work so don't even try. I did have the platform redone this year and they now use a special primer to help adhere anything that is on non skid and especially those that see water. Price has literally sky rocketed and is almost ridiculous now. Had to pay over a third of the cost for just the swim platform compared to the entire boat several years back. If you do come up with some way of glueing it back down, please share.

The supplier from Quebec sent me 4 Mason jars of the glue he uses. Seems a lot like contact cement. I mean, it's the same directions of usage. I did try the spray, HA! What a farce. Anyway, the Kingstone installer said around 8500$ to replace or 2000$ to re glue it down.
