I don't know exactly what these are there for, but on both port and starboard sides I have, what looks like, bent PVC pipes spliced into the through hull water ports that feed the engines with fresh water that are just mounted up like wash down spickets or something. Does anyone else have these? Is this factory, I don't think so. I'm kinda concerned about them being brittle or getting brittle and breaking. It doesn't seem like the smartest way to put in a bilge wash down and two of them at that. Just strange to me. Unless I am missing the real reason they are there.

Just figured I would ask you guys to see if you might have seen something like this before. I am thinking about capping them off for safety reasons as to not spring a leak.

Probably installed for winterizing. Close the through ills and run antifreeze into the spigots.
Yes, remove them and install bronze fittings.
I suggest you look at everything below the water line. Who knows what else the previous owner did!

Yea, I know. It's in really good shape but you never know what previous owners know how to work on or not. I like to repair or replace things as they were from the factory, some folks tend to fix with whatever they can find or throw together. PVC doesn't scream reliability o me.
