Bow Thruster Prop

Hey there mates. An early project this year is to replace the port side broken 'Side-Power' bow thruster propeller.
I understand that it is simply a matter of removing the anode and the using a ratchet wrench to loosen the retaining nut. However, I was told that it can be tricky to free the propeller from the shaft.
Does anyone have thoughts on the best way to accomplish this project?
Additionally, I understand that it is a good idea to 'bleed' some oil from a fitting that lives in the top part of the thruster tunnel. If you have had experience with this kindly share your insights.
