Possibly for a plug-in anchor light?

Have you taken a meter and tried measuring voltage?

Looks like what we referred to "in the old days" as a cigarette lighter.

Now days they call them accessory jacks. But it appears the inner sleeve has been removed.

I don't think that's a "cigarette" lighter or "accessory jack", as it has both terminals at the base.
A few more pictures might help. Where is it located, and what's the orientation of it?

Ya looks to me to be a socket for a removable anchor/mast light but more info and pics would help confirm.

Agree. When he said it was on the bridge I made the assumption it was on the instrument console area of the bridge, which is why I was thinking accessory jack.

Thanks for all of the responses so far. I haven't probed yet (need to get back out there!).
Arrow points to location of the port:

If this is a mast/anchor light - is there a standard for this connection that I could find mating parts for?

Yea, that sure looks like it'd be for an anchor light. If you don't have one elsewhere, then I'm sure that's it.
There's not really a standard. Several companies make removable anchor lights and all use different bases. You might remove the base and see if there's any manufacturer ID on it anywhere that might give a clue. You might end up replacing the base with a new one that comes with the new light.
EDIT: if that's a "new to you" boat, you might really look all over that boat in all the compartments because you just might find the light tucked away somewhere. I was still finding stuff YEARS after I got my last boat.

Id try to find out where the wires come from. If I recall, I saw something like this on another site and turned out to be a plug for a switch for something, heck if I remember what it was.
