Help!!!! I am fighting a fuel supply issue on my 2000 356 8.1L port eng only. Acts like fuel pump (Lift) is not working. I can take hose off of fuel module and no fuel. I replaced complete water cool fuel module. Sometimes it will run for a while then i will shut it off and re start it and it will run for 5 min and die. Pulled hose and still no fuel. I replaced the check valve on top of tank and replaced all fuel lines from tank to CFM. Primed CFM and it will run for 2 minutes and die. Acts like it is sucking air somewhere. Has anyone had issues with the 3 way valve???? That’s my next guess. Checked voltage to fuel pump and all ok

Engine make and model? Post an engine serial number.
Does this happen at the dock out of gear/in neutral?
Did you try running the engine with the deck fill fuel cap off in case the tank vent is clogged?
Have you tried hooking up a portable fuel tank directly to the engine?

Blew out vent tube already and no I haven’t had the eng scanned yet, waiting on tech to get back to me. Also swapped fuel hoses from the port to the starboard tank and no different and the starboard eng runs fine.

There are a number of things that work together to allow the engine to run smoothly, any one of them failing can interfere, you need the scan........try to get a recording of the engine running to failure, that should help in the diagnosis, also can eliminate the throwing parts at it and hoping.....good luck with your tech, hopefully he has the program and laptop.
