I have a well kept 1986 Riviera (2807). I recently pulled up to a dock and shut down. I turned on the blower and it ran for a few minutes then suddenly stopped. Started checking outlets and interior lights, some worked some did not. Plugged into shore power and still no go... Pulled the dash cover and it seems that there is no current going to the "blower" toggle switch. Don't see any fuses? Any ideas? Much appreciated!

How are the batteries wired? Is there a 1-all-2 switch?

Unless you have an inverter or generator, none of the 120vac outlets would have worked until you plugged into shorepower. some of those interior lights might be "120VAC only" too.

With that vintage vessel, you should have circuit breakers for things like the engine room blowers. Might even have a couple "main" breakers that also supply power to a whole bank of individual breakers.

Is this a new boat to you? How long have you had it? Ever have any electrical issues before now? When you plugged into shore power, was the circuit breaker for your battery charger in the on position. Is it only 12v items you are having problems with or 120v items as well?

Thanks for your input, all systems 12v worked fine until the blower shutdown. There is an inverter for the 12v system. When you say “breakers” there is a panel that has switches for various onboard systems, do these represent “breakers” or would the actual breakers be behind this panel?

That panel is likely breakers, and for your model there might be a couple "main" breakers that each feeds a row of individual breakers. Post up a pic if you want a more detailed response.

You probably have Airpax breakers that look like toggle switches with flat black toggles?

Welcome to the forum.....

The reality is that your boat has been around for a long time.....in that case you are never sure what someone before has done. The blower may have just given up, maybe it was replaced at some point and there is an added fuse somewhere...all things have a life span...some searching and investigating will probably be in order here.

Remember try not to confuse the 12 volt ( boat ) side and the 120 volt ( shore power) side.
