Vacuflush over the winter

Hey Folks.
When you store for the winter season, do you maintain the vacuum on the unit or 'flush' and release the pressure?
Any reasons behind your thinking?
Thanks

Don't think it matters. I doubt it would hold vacuum for the whole duration. How long have you seen it hold vacuum during the season?

Holds vacuum the entire season.
However, I don't recall if it holds during the winter.

Well, I doubt it actually holds the entire season. It's "recharged" every time the pump runs.
Obviously, you'd want to shut the pump off in the off season and make sure any of the water passages are properly emptied or treated with an antifreeze, but whether there's vacuum in the compartments for a bit won't really matter.

Yes, just winterize as usual and leave the bowl with antifreeze in it, turn off the system.
One anecdote, after refitting our old boat with new hoses and changed much to pvc it actually held vac all winter. Shocked the heck out of me in the spring.
