Wall vinyl separating at door edge - FIXED!

Since buying our boat we have had an ongoing issue with the vinyl wallcovering in the master stateroom separating where it meets the door frame. See pics.

Then I had an idea about using vinyl "piping" to trim out the door frame which would hide the separation and maybe even prevent it from getting worse. I looked around and found the following on Amazon. You can order samples for $2 each to get an idea for color matching. We ordered Bone, Off-white and light tan....and ended up going with the off-white. Then we ordered 10yds to do the areas we were having issues with.

There is a little void behind the door trim that allows the piping to slide in and it stays in place by just a friction-fit, so there is no gluing/fasteners to have to deal with.

And here is the final installation. When I upload a vertical pic of the whole door, the site rotates it, so here is a section that keeps the perspective normal. :-D
