Seacock locations 1989 3807

Postby Gilligan 1955 » June 17th, 2025, 9:16 pm

1989 3807 does anyone know where the seacock/through hull fitting is located for water intake to flush the forward head? I can see where it enters the wall but that's it.

It's in front of the port engine toward the port side, about a foot from the port engine seacock.

I had a 3807 some years ago. If I recall, I had 7 seacocks, all found in the engine room. A couple were very difficult to reach.

On my '89 3807, the seacocks are as follows:
In front of port engine:
1 = port engine
1 = fwd head
Behind port engine:
1 = raw water washdown
1 = generator
In front of Starboard engine:
1 = air/heat water pump
1 = starboard engine
Behind starboard engine:
1 = aft head

Newbie Question to this Post, do all seacocks need to be open while in water? I am new to the boat and unsure my Generator is working yet? and one other that I opened leaked so I need to change the hose.

Attitude, seacocks need to be opened for any device/hardware that requires raw water during normal operation. If you have a leaking hose, close that seacock but you can't use the devise it's supplying water to until you replace the leaking hose.

If you have anymore questions along this line, you should open up your own thread so there is no confusion with the original poster's inquiry. By the way, Welcome Aboard.
