Hopefully they may pick up on something while they are working on the drives.....I wouldn't assume anything while working thru a problem....cross things off the list one at a time.

I assume they are reinstalling the drives? If so, do they know about the trim issue? If not, tell them so they can check the trim limit switch adjustment in case that's the problem. If the limit switches have to be replaced, I find it easier to do without the drives in the way.
