I have a 1995 325 aft cabin with twin Crusader 350XL motors. The port side muffle is cracked and leaking. I searched the Owners manual and can’t find the part number or any reference to it. It looks like a Centek 1600507? The intake and outlet are 5”. Anyone know where I might find the part number and supplier?
Thanks…

That'll probably run you over $1K. I would be repairing it or taking it to a fiberglass shop to do it.

Apparently they got all the prints/drawings for all the Centek stuff when they went out of business. When I had to replace two fiberglass components in my exhaust system, they had one piece in stock and the other they created based on the original designs from Centek. Not cheap, but good quality and pretty quick turn-around.

Unless something just happened, Centek is still in business as far as I know. When did this happen?!

I misspoke.....as is typical!

I am trying to remember the back story I was told but it has been awhile. I think it was that when Carver went out of business, Centek at some point stopped making the parts and then Inetmarine got the prints and maintained the support. Or something like that.
Good catch - my memory ain't what it used to be!!

Yep, easiest way is to have a fiberglass shop rebuild it. Friend of mine just had the same issue, could not find replacement. That was a 94 Sea Ray. Good luck!

Hi,
I have a 1996 325 aft cabin with Crusader 350’s. I believe the muffler drain is leaking on the Starboard engine.
I tightened it by hand, maybe 1/8 turn, but it is still seeping. Can you tell me if the seal is an “o” ring, or what brand the muffler is?
Currently the muffler is full of winterizing antifreeze, and I think I will wait until after launch so when I pull the drain it is just fresh water I need to clean up. My boat is in Manitowoc, Wi.
How did you resolve your leak on your muffler?
Thanks!

I had blown muffler once. The cylindrical fiberglass tube connector that connects the rubber exhaust tube to the muffler cracked and allowed the engine cooling water to pump into the bilge. I didn't have bildge alarms and the bildge began to fill with water as the bildge pumps would not keep up. Once I discovered it I shut down the engine and went the the marina on one engine.
Once I got the muffler out, I cut off what was left of the fiberglass tube from the muffler and simply put resin every where the tube connected to and put 3 layers of glass mat over it and soaked it with resin. the repair was perfect. Stronger than new.
The joint failed because it overheated due an almost fully clogged exhaust elbow.
I bought the connector from Defender Marine.
