Anyone replaced the long block in their Aft cabin Carver? I'll looking for advise on how to get that damn thing out of there. I have a 2005 Carver 36MY. Fortunately it's the Starboard motor.
Any advise welcome.
Thanks!

I’m eagerly awaiting replies from the group on this as I have the same boat and have been wondering/dreading what that might entail. I do believe though that there is no difference between port and starboard engines as the transmissions are reverse geared, not the engines. Hopefully that helps a little.

I've seen YouTube videos of various Carver at cabin models having engines removed. Most of them showed cutting the floor and building a gantry in the boat. Lifting the engine up. Setting on the cabin floor. Reaching in with a long fork and removing. Some had partial disassembly before lifting out of engine room.
