Helm switch lights

Postby mjk1040 » March 4th, 2016, 4:29 pm

Say, has anyone installed a dimmer switch to control the indicator lights on the fly bridge helm switch lights.
Those little green buggers seem awful bright at night, and of course I wear glasses so it's worse for me trying to navigate at night especially in port and trying to dock. Or has anyone taken the switch knobs off and put a lower watt bulbs in?

I am not familiar with that model and don't know if it was used on other models such as mine without a photo.

But I had some good emails with Bryan at Carver/Marquis and he was able to guide me to replacement locks. When ever I have correspondence with him I include hull number so that he can refer to build sheets.

The replacement he recommended works much better than the original and required only slight alteration for installation. But I never asked if Carver switched to this or if he was only being helpful. I know he did not offer to sell me one but he did send me a link to the manufacturer and it was easily found on Amazon.
