Talking about bow thruster, I guess they are pretty expensive to install on a used boat?

There are many good options on the market now, check, for the price, an externally mounted one.

Even an external one you will be pushing $6000 easy if you do everything yourself. A tunnel style factory, probably $15,000.

Yes, installing a traditional tunnel style bow thruster is costly as the tunnel install is labour intensive glass work. Depending on the model and type, mechanical installation can be labour intensive and costly as well. Many will say it's worth it though. Gives you a real sense of security on a windy day, and getting into tight quarters.

I had this one factory installed this spring. Really appreciated it coming in this past weekend with the wind gusting 30 MPH off the dock. $6500 CAD all in with batteries and charger.

Now I don’t worry about the wind nearly as much.

It’s a sideshift same as the link above.
