I think if I stick with barb free fittings I will be fine which is what I intend to do. Being the hose is soft and flexible it must be rather easy to tighten up with hose clamps.

Speaking of clamps, will definitely use Mikalor swivel bridge clamps for ease of installation and removal. My hydraulic supplier has them for less than what one pays for regular hose clamps at the hardware store. This type of clamp is much better at providing a perfect even seal and much stronger than standard worm gear clamps. http://www.mikalor.com/eng/Documentos/P ... s%2060.pdf

I had to look that up but no thanks, will stick with the holding tank/pump out style. Problem is pee goes straight overboard and I am not sure it is legal even though we all pee in the water or use the swim platform when nobody is around. Then you have to take the sac of composted poo and throw into the regular garbage, not to sure my marina would like the idea since it is a bio hazard waste Here is a video that pretty much explains how a composting head works.

Did you ever consider a composting toilet? My folks put one on their boat and are happy with it.
