I would caution the thinking that I/O's are going to be cheaper to operate. There's much more to go wrong with an I/O even in fresh water. I purposely went for straight inboards after years of I/O's.
The water impeller being in the drive of the I/O is a pita if it fails mid season. It's a haulout, and a removal of the lower to get at it. Not hard work, but not as easy as motor driven pump.
Bellow/Shift Cable/Gimbal/Trim Pump with all its' solenoids also need upkeep.

I had a 1990 Sundancer with 5.7's and alphas. The benefit of both is parts are cheap. If I stayed out of the 4 barrels that combo did sip gas. Once I laid into the 4 barrels you could watch the fuel needles move to the left quickly.

When you are there pop the hatches and put your hands on every side of both motors to see how easy it is to get to things. They don't look super tight together in the couple posted pics, but looks and actually touching them could be different. If you winterize yourself make sure you can hit everything easily so you aren't cussing in mid october in cold weather because you can't reach the outside block drain.

See if you can reach the trim pumps, water heater connections, any senders that may need servicing etc...

Just some thoughts from my experiences.

Will do. Thanks for the advice.

Called the brokerage. I have an appointment to look the boat over next Saturday. It is out and on the hard and winterized but not yet covered.

The good news both engines were replaced in 2019 with remanufactured engines and have less than 100 hours on the newer engines. The old engines had 1500 hours on them. At least an engine rebuild is not in the near future. Will have a bunch of questions I am sure next Saturday.

Looking good at the moment.

Rick , have you considered a 22-24 cuddy, trailerable...you have the pick up truck...

Just an honest observation if I may......seems to me you are heading to the same boat you had just maybe touch shorter, same yearly costs plus fuel and up-dating issues, tanks, lines etc etc etc...don't let the remans cloud things ,as you know from over the years, there is way more to these old boats than that....good luck with your search.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

I don't want a cuddy cabin boat. I still plan to do overnights and vacations aboard and want at minimum a decent sleeping area, A/C-heat. I am mainly looking for something classified in the 24' to 28' range. The 2767 does meet that criteria even if it is 30' overall. My 3007 a 30' vessel was 34' overall.

I boat by myself almost 100% of the time. Trailering while an option would be a bit of a challenge to do alone but not impossible. When my friends had their 2767 Santego I really liked their boat. For its size it is a really roomy boat. Of course if I do like this boat it still has to pass a survey and we will need to do a sea trial. That won't occur until spring.

Drove over to St. Joseph Saturday to look at the boat. The boat is in really decent shape. Clean and looks to be well cared for. Crawled all over and under it. I did make an offer. Waiting for either a counter offer or acceptance. Offer obviously contingent upon a successful survey and sea trial. If and when I get an accepted offer I would like to try to get the survey done before the boat is covered for the winter.

The layout is really great. Lots of room down below for a 27 foot boat. I love the amount of storage available. The owners manuals are with the boat that is a big plus for me. It was really handy having them on my 3007. The engines have about 70 hours on them. The bridge, aft seat and interior seating have all been redone and are in great shape. The canvas is in good shape too.

I will wait to see what the sellers do next. I could possibly once again be a Carver owner.

Maybe it's missing a zero? Unless repowered or rebuilt, yes.
