Figured I should go with something that has most accessories. At the time they had what they called refurbished units which were new unit but some defects in the paint job. They offered them for $300 less so I went for it. Machine with premium package came to 1325 US delivered to a US address. Just need to wait for my brother to come up to Canada to bring it to me. :-D

First project will be new front eisenglass panels up on the bridge as they are getting tired. Machine will probably pay for itself after I make those 3 panels. :-O

That is a deal. My Rex which is a sailrite clone is pretty a ok. Did some practice stitching and hope to tackle a panel this weekend. Mine will pay for itself in one panel as the canvas guy wanted $1500.00/ panel. Have 2 panels and radar arch to aft hardtop. For new vinyl check out the .040 O’Sea. Great stuff. How are you planning on replacing the glass? Stitch new panel over old or take a leap of faith like I am doing and removing old and replacing?

Not sure yet, probably going to make new everything so the old will be replaced and kept as templates for any further stuff I may want to make. Or maybe get lazy and replace the old eisenglass using the old windows. I already own a professional snap tool purchased probably 15 years ago which is a must. This is the one to get.

I highly suggest you take a look at Sailrite's videos if you have not already done so. They explain just about how to make everything you could imagine for boats. i will use my existing panels as templates so it will not be as elaborate as shown in this video.

I purchased the Omega walking foot "clone" of the Sailrite. Canadian company so it was under $1000 delivered. The sewing projects start next month (Tomorrow)(YIKES!!!). New bimini & aft deck cover. New glass that will be redesigned, so no reusing the old for templates. New dinette cushions. New salon curtains. And hopefully new V-berth colours.

Got my caboinet today. nNOT worth $700.00, but prices were wacky for all cabinets. It is very sturdy and functional. Hydraulic lift for the machine. Came in 3 boxes (made me cringe) so unpacked it and 3.5 hours lady done!. I made my own “box” to keep the machine sturdy, and a little side pocket. Machine will lift right out for service. Height adjusts to the table. SO, here it is, today I learn to wind the bobbin and do siome miscellaneous stitches on scrap Sunbrella, so I will be ready to stitch the real thing. I also bought a sheet of 3/4” finish plywood and a couple collapsible saw horses as a stand. I cut the plywood to a 4 x 4 sheet. This dreamer comeths!
