Ladder Replacement '06 36 Mariner

Postby Blue » October 29th, 2014, 12:58 pm

Greetings all. I own a 2006 36 Mariner. I love the boat. Other than the holding tank only being 20 gallons, the only other thing I don't like and would like to replace is the fold down swim ladder. Its 3 steps and the steps are made of plastic. Now, I'm 55 years old, 6'4 and 295 lbs. Yes, I know dear, I need to lose some weight.......in the meantime though......does anyone know of a stainless steel fold down ladder that will fit the recessed area that the ladder stores in? The ladder pops and creaks and appears to be on the verge of breaking. My fear is the ladder will break and I wont be able to get back in the boat. (insert fat guy jokes here) Anyone ever replaced one? I would prefer a 4 step but can live with a 3 step, which the current ladder is. I will try to add a pic if I can but due to my age I am technologically challenged and will require help from my kids. Any help/suggestions appreciated. One last thing, I'm only 6'2". I added to my height to make my weight seem more proportionate.

Or you could just boat in colder water so you won't need a ladder ;)
