Carver 350 Mariner Sunpad

Postby merc50 » February 9th, 2015, 8:48 pm

I have a 98 Carver 350 Mariner and I am looking for a place to purchase the front Sunpad. Any ideas?

Carver may still have them available. They made the Mariner until last year, so they should still have the pattern. They typically keep patterns for 7 years

Go to a dollar store and purchase some Bristol board for school projects. Lay it down on the spot where the sunpad goes and cut it out. Decide how high/thick you want the pad to be. That's your pattern, done. Take it to a canvas/upholstery shop - I've used this method for beds, seats, sun pads etc

Keep in mind, that the original sunpad on the 350 Mariner was thicker at the "head" of the pad so it matched up to the seat when it was tilted down!

Thanks for all of the replies.........I actually found the pad in the cavity behind the jump seat.
