Filler cushions for 1988 Carver Mariner

Postby Jackie » August 3rd, 2015, 10:13 am

Hi, we have just purchased the above mariner 32 and it has been very well renovated. However, there are no filler cushions for the drop down table or the v-berth. Does anyone know where I can get them, or if there are any patterns available to make them myself. Carver has said they know longer carry patterns for this age of boat. Thanks, Jackie

Welcome aboard. I would just get in touch with your local upholsterer. Prefferably someone that does a lot of marine work as they'll have samples of materials that might match up, and are more familiar with the environment the finished product will have to put up with. I think your biggest challenge will be matching colours that have likely faded over the years. You can also do a Google search, you never know! Or try a place like GreatLakesSkipper on line. They buy out a lot of OEM overstock and discontinued runs. Maybe another Mariner owner who's gone through the same thing will chime in.

Thank-you Viper, my only choice seems to be to have one made. Jackie
