Grill for Carver Mariner 350

Postby amanphoto » June 4th, 2017, 6:02 pm

Hi, I'm looking for grill mounting ideas for a Carver Mariner 350. What kind of grill works best and where do you mount it?

Thanks for the input.

I'd swear there was a recent thread just like this... but was it a different model?

The mariner has a very unique look and shape. I was looking for other owners with the same models input and recommendations.

There are multiple mounting brackets for the SS marine grills.

Hi There,
I am getting ready to close on a 2005 36 Mariner.
Mechanically, the boat checks out great. The problem is the 'head' smell in the salon. Must eliminate that before I sign the dotted line. Any feed back from forum members is appreciated,
Regarding the grill, I am thinking about getting a rectangular grill with a mount that goes into the fishing pole holder on the aft deck.
When finished grilling my plan is to store the grill behind the bench seat on the bow. Seems like good storage space there.
Best of luck to you this season.

Update: I ended up with a Party Sized Magma. Not the best grill - hot spots, long time to cook and flare ups. But it mounts good and stores easy. I ended up using the flag holders and a piece of 1/2 Stainless rod I bent. Mount looks better and is more stable then anything Magma sells.

With a heavy breeze, mine takes a bit to heat up too. I have frequently wondered if MAPP gas would help!

I would like to try MAPP gas too. But I'm not sure if it's poisonous.

Mapp is an acetylene and propane mix that is quite a bit hotter than propane alone, the grill may not be able to handle the temp.....best stick with what the grill maker recommends......I hear ya about the grill and windy days though........ :beergood:
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.
